CBC Communications LLC

Fiber Optic Production Contractor

High-count ribbon splicing and testing for hyperscale data center and ISP projects, backed by 12 years in the field.

About Us

CBC Communications LLC is a fiber optic production contractor run by Christopher Coleman, a working fiber splicer with 12 years of experience in fiber construction, splicing, testing, and emergency restoration.

Today our focus is inside plant (ISP) and hyperscale data center work: high-count ribbon splicing, testing, and troubleshooting. Our outside plant (OSP) background gives us depth on new construction, maintenance, and restoration, and we lead crews on production-based work, handling scheduling, quality control, and on-site safety.

We care about clean, organized, inspection-ready work. We've been brought in to repair other contractors' poor slack management and tray routing, and we train splicers on ribbon best practices that cut rework between splicing and testing crews.

Our experience includes splicing, testing, and troubleshooting on projects for major carriers and operators including Oracle, AT&T, Comcast, Cox, and Google Fiber.

Formed in Missouri in 2015 and registered to do business in Texas.

Crew & Subcontractor Staffing

We recruit and manage splicing crews and subcontractors for projects across the US, and we lead them on site.

Called in to fix it

When a job needs to be made right

We get called in when a closure or cabinet needs to be corrected. Here's one example from an AT&T job.

Splice closure before repair, with tangled fiber slack and disorganized routing Before
The closure as we found it: tangled slack and disorganized tray routing.
The same splice closure after rebuild, with organized routing and a label reading Built by CBC Communications LLC for AT&T After
Rebuilt by us: clean routing, proper slack management, clearly labeled.
Fiber distribution cabinet with two ports circled in blue, port 1 and port 433 Found it
Port 1 came out at port 433. A previous contractor had spliced this cabinet's tails to each other. When we shot a VFL (red light) into port 1, it came out at port 433 (both circled) instead of going to the field. We traced it and made it right.

Emergency Restoration

We've deployed for storm restoration after Hurricane Ian (Ft. Myers, FL, Sept 2022) and Hurricane Helene (Asheville, NC, Sept 2024).

Any weather, any environment

Snow, rain, heat or the middle of the night: we set up safely and get the work done.

Safety First

Safety is part of how we work on every job, from the data hall to the roadside.

  • Every worker holds OSHA 10 at minimum.
  • Every supervisor holds OSHA 30 at minimum.
  • Work-zone setup and traffic control on every job. Signs and cones go out before the work starts.
  • PPE on every crew member. Hard hats and hi-vis vests in the field.
  • Laser safety. Industrial Laser Safety Officer (LSO) certificate, CTC Compliance Training Online, 2026.
  • Site-specific safety protocols followed on every job site.

What we value

Clean, organized splicing, proper slack management, clear identification, and safe job sites. We'd rather do it right the first time than rework it later.
